The Value of Choice: A Day at Fratelli Poli with the Students of PMI DAY 2025
Once again this year, Fratelli Poli enthusiastically took part in PMI DAY 2025, the initiative promoted by Confindustria that opens the doors of small and medium-sized enterprises to high school students. An event we consider truly valuable, which gave us the opportunity to welcome the fifth-year students of IIS Andrea Scotton from Breganze and Bassano.
#Choosing is the theme at the heart of the day
The guiding thread of the 2025 edition was precisely “choice, choosing”: an invitation for students to observe, ask questions, understand… and then imagine their future.
For this reason, during the visit we accompanied them on a real journey inside our company, allowing them to see firsthand what it means to work in a metalworking firm that combines design, technology, and family tradition.
The morning began with a presentation of Fratelli Poli’s history, retracing the evolution of the company in the field of die making and cold metal stamping. This introduction helped students understand the values, skills, and technologies that guide every one of our projects.
We then selected a representative product from our production and followed its entire cycle: from the design phase to the processing in the departments, all the way to the final result.
Thanks to the visit to the plant, the students were able to observe the departments up close, the technologies used, and the contribution of each professional figure in creating the product.
#Choosing means getting involved
In line with the theme of PMI DAY, we offered the students a hands-on activity based precisely on the idea of choice. They independently decided how to divide into small groups, each dedicated to a company area:
- Sales
- Quality
- Die assembly
- Technical office
- Production
Within each group, our company representatives answered questions, curiosities, and in-depth requests from the students. It was a direct and engaging moment, useful for understanding how each department contributes to the production of dies and metal components.
Discussing to #Choose consciously
After the activity, all participants gathered for a final discussion. Our representatives shared the most interesting questions that emerged in the groups: curiosities about die design, quality control techniques, the machinery used in the cold metal stamping process, and even commercial aspects related to customer management.
It was an enriching moment both for the students and for us, as we had the chance to hear their point of view.
#Choosing to repeat the experience
Participating in PMI DAY always proves to be a wonderful experience. We believe in the value of dialogue with young people and in the opportunity to convey passion, skills, and awareness.
A choice we will continue to make, because the future also passes through encounters like this, where students can discover, understand, and choose their tomorrow with greater awareness.
