Free to… build one’s own future in the company
For PMI DAY 2023, an initiative promoted by Confindustria Vicenza to bring young people closer to the world of work, we opened our doors to students from the Engim Veneto Institute – SFP Patronato S. Gaetano di Thiene.
It was a very important opportunity for exchange and dialogue between generations that gave us the chance to share the business vision we are committed to pursuing. A different way of experiencing and thinking about work that was very positively welcomed by the students.
The theme of this edition was Freedom: a value, a right, a possibility, a desire. During the visit, we told them about our past, our present, and our future, and then we posed to them a “simple” question: “What is Freedom for you?” Most of them responded that Freedom is the possibility to make their own choices without constraints and judgments from others.
This desire for decision-making autonomy is a valuable resource in the world of work that must be understood and nurtured in the best possible way within companies.
As emerged in the interesting “Report on the relationship between young people and the world of work” promoted by Confindustria Vicenza, young people and entrepreneurs pursue the same goals but start from different perspectives.
While on the one hand, the main concern of entrepreneurs is to lose young people after training them, the new generations fear not being appreciated and not being able to build a satisfying growth path within companies.
How to find a meeting point between these two “worlds”?
How to establish a constructive dialogue and identify the critical issues that prevent the creation of an evolved relationship between the parties?
We, at Fratelli Poli, are engaged in a path that aims precisely at the enhancement of individuals in their entirety. A work environment where there is complete freedom for constructive dialogue to promote the full autonomy and accountability of each person involved towards shared goals, both business and personal.
